Grubhub has been around since 2004, one of the apps that made online food ordering mainstream. The model it helped popularize comes with layers of fees that most diners never see itemized.
Delivery marketplaces can charge restaurants up to 30% commission on every order, plus about 3% for credit card processing, then add a fee of up to 15% to the person ordering. All in, that can reach 48%. When you order direct from us, you pay one small fee, and that’s it. The restaurant pays no commission, which is how we keep the same menu prices you’d pay calling or visiting the truck.
